The Trainer role

CMA Fitness Coach Trainer is software for managing client information, Training, Nutrition and Progress, and exchanging supported packages with Personal applications. CMA Solutions is the software publisher. CMA does not assess a client's medical fitness, prescribe programmes on your behalf or replace professional judgement.

Assessment, suitability and instructions

You are responsible for the professional recommendations and Training or Nutrition programmes you prescribe or change. Assess client needs and relevant safety considerations, consider exercise suitability, provide appropriate instructions and work within your qualifications and professional competence. Obtain appropriate professional input or make a referral where necessary. Review intended programmes before sending them.

Keep medical screening, medical histories and clinical records separately using appropriate arrangements. Do not put medical or health information in CMA Notes fields. A software acknowledgement does not replace screening or medical clearance.

Client-created and modified programmes

Clients may create their own programmes or independently modify information. They remain responsible for those independent choices. A Trainer is not automatically responsible for every injury simply because a client uses CMA or has a Trainer relationship. Responsibility depends on the circumstances, including the recommendations, instructions and actions of the people involved. Clearly distinguish your prescriptions from client-reported achievements and discuss important discrepancies where appropriate.

Accuracy and confidentiality

Check client information and recommendations you enter or import. Correct errors you identify and respect client confidentiality. Collect and retain only information appropriate to the work you perform. Do not enter another person's data without an appropriate basis and authority.

Devices, packages and backups

Protect access to devices, credentials, backups and package files. Verify the intended client, Personal installation and relationship before exchanging files. Use supported recipient-specific exchange controls; do not treat a displayed name alone as proof of identity. Keep the initial enrolment file within a trusted exchange route because its shared-key protection is different from routine recipient-specific encryption.

Consider where exports, downloads, backups and additional copies are stored, who can access them and how they are retained or disposed of. Encryption does not remove these responsibilities. Device or key loss may require supported re-enrolment; CMA Solutions does not hold the private recipient keys needed to decrypt routine relationship packages.

Data protection

You remain responsible for the data-protection duties that apply to your own handling of client information, including appropriate purposes and lawful grounds, information given to clients, accuracy, access, retention and security. Where information receives additional legal protection, meet those requirements as applicable. Your acknowledgement of this notice is not client consent or a substitute for an appropriate lawful basis.

Normal client records are held locally and exchanged directly using the supported CMA workflow; CMA Solutions does not operate a central client-records database. Read the Privacy Policy for the separate handling of licensing, support, optional Nutrition lookup and website information.

Software limitations and support

Use appropriate checks and recovery arrangements. CMA cannot guarantee a particular health, fitness or nutritional outcome or uninterrupted availability. Contact CMA Solutions about application problems, and do not rely on information you have reason to believe is incorrect. CMA Solutions remains responsible for its own actions and applicable obligations as software publisher.

Responsibility and statutory rights

CMA Solutions is not responsible merely because an injury occurs during an exercise that has been recorded, displayed or exchanged using the application. Responsibility for any injury depends on the individual circumstances, including the actions of the person exercising and any Personal Trainer involved.

Nothing in this notice excludes or restricts any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Statutory consumer rights and other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected. Read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy alongside this notice.
